I'd like to send out a big belated Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. This was my first mother's day with Van and it was very nice. This time last year I had an exciting mother's day as we received our travel email! It's hard to believe that was a year ago! You can feel my relief and excitement in my post last year that you can read
here. Back to yesterday, Pat surprised me in the morning with a gift and card. He even had Van "sign" the card with a little pen scratch. Very cute. We then went our for a favourite meal of both Van and I, phở. It was delish as always!

Mother's day for me would not be a reality if it were not for Van's birth mom. I want to send a shout out and gigantic happy mother's day to all of the birth mom's out there who make the supreme sacrifice so that their children can hopefully have a better life. Let the strength of the triad live on! Adoptive mom's everywhere thank you!
